Artist Statement

Every movement and decision we make does not exclusively belong to the moment, but rather produces a chain of effects that alter our path and those who encounter. I am a choreographer and historian who brings written documentation to life through movement of the human body. I create historically influenced dances with the integration of historical research, period costuming, and historically inspired music. The purpose of my work is to educate audiences on the long-term impacts of historical events, to showcase where change is still needed, and to emphasize the weight of our actions.
